Hey guys!

How time flies, it's actually MARCH already! And this is gonna be the month that our church is making history. WE ARE MOVING TO SUNTEC ON THE 19TH MARCH!! *Goes round jumping around and praising God!*

Make sure that you actually bring friends for our VERY FIRST Suntec service okay!

Oh and not forgetting our CGM are actually on FRIDAY nights now! Wheehoo! I, personally, am really very very very happy that it's on Fri night now because I now have my Sun free! HEH!

So.................

26-27 Feb weekend marks the very last service at Expo for us! And I don't know about you, but it was really a celebration for me because it means that we are REALLY very near to moving in to Suntec! I still remembered that I was there for the very first Expo service 5 years back and now after 5 years (time really flies!), we are ready for a bigger place! God is good don't you agree?

W459 all READY and EXCITED about moving to Suntec!

2011, a year of BIGGER dreams and BIGGER visions

Hello family!

I am here to make this page alive once again!
It's 2011, and Jan is gonna end really soon. (The last post was posted in DEC 2010!!!!!)

But anyways, I hope you're doing well in your school and workplace!
It has been good to be able to see you guys last weekend because I haven't seen you guys for like 2 weeks! And I miss every single one terribly!

OH! And yesterday (Sun) was the first cgm of year 2011! Thank you PINDE (best member of 2010!) for cooking for us! :D

So I was watching the sermon online. And was watching the one where Pastor Kong preached about Counting Your Stars. Man... It was TREMENDOUSLY GOOD! I am so blessed and it was so very in season for myself and I believe for the church as well!

Let me share with you some stuff that I've caught while I was watching. (Even though I was watching thru the com, the presence of God was so tangible!)

When we live OUTSIDE the tent, we will be limitless. We will believe, speak, talk, think like how GOD does!
So we gotta STEP OUT of limitations and move into the realm of the FOURTH DIMENSIONS, where NOTHING is impossible!

And something I've caught just before Pastor Kong ended the service..
He spoke about world shakers and history makers. And it occurred to me that world shakers and history makers didn't come easily and they weren't just born yesterday. But they were the ones who tirelessly believe in God, counting their stars that are in heaven and clinging on to the very promise that God said that they can do it despite the world say that they can't. But while hanging on to the promise, God answered, God responded, just like how He gave Abraham Isaac after 15 years of counting and resisting the temptations of not returning to the tent, a place of limitations.

Always remember that world shakers and history makers aren't born yesterday, they are the ones who plow through, counted their stars and clung on. And that's how they became world shakers and history makers.

Like what Rae has shared with us last week during cgm, we are to have audacious goals for 2011.
What are your audacious goals and what are the star of promise for it?

THE BIBLE HAS 8810 PROMISES OF GOD FOR US!
So let's have the SMASHING FAITH to believe that God can do it for us!!

ANYWAYS! JUST WANNA WISH EVERYONE MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS! Thank you for working hard to invite friends for the Christmas services! Let's really pray that they will really stay okay!

It's December and many many things have happened!

It was REAL Conference from the 15th to 17th Dec.
I had a blast and I hope that you guys had lots of fun too! But on top of having fun during the games, I pray with all my heart that you've caught something that will help you to want to want to continue this walk with God! Even though REAL has ended, but this is not the end. It's only the beginning of the new chapter of our lives. W459, let the journey with God and the Holy Spirit unfolds as we move on to 2011 yeah?

if you're reading this, W459 just wants you to know that we misses you a lot a lot and we're always gonna keep you in prayer! We know that it's difficult for you to leave everything behind and move to a foreign country. We know and we know that you're small on the outside, but you're HUGE on the inside! You'll be able to overcome and enjoy Canada!

East Coast Park Outing

Hey guys!

The ecp outing is this Sunday!!
I'm really very excited about it because it's gonna be super EXCITING and FUN! So do come excited yeah! And there's no cgm meeting this week so do take note!

Things to take note:
Meeting time: 11AM
Meeting place: Bedok MRT control station
I/C for meeting: Daniel, Joseph and Bryan

Things to bring:
1. Money!
*There'll be free and easy time. So if you wanna cycle, do bring money to rent a bike. The rental price is approximately $7-10/h. So do bring enough if you wanna cycle yeah. And we'll be having late lunch/early dinner after the outing. So yup!

2. Sunblock/ tan lotion
Depends on what colour you want your skin to be! Just bring accordingly!

3. Water bottle
Advised to bring 1.5L kind. We will be spending hours under the sun!

4. Camera
If you have, do bring yeah! So that we can all snap lots of pictures and post it up on FB.

5. Extra set of clothes
We're going to ecp. So chances of getting wet is definitely 100%! So please bring extra set of clothes and that would include inner wear and outer wear! We don't want you to catch a cold!

6. Toiletries
Especially facial wash! Hee! Won't elaborate much. Just bring okay!

7. Bring whatever you wanna do during free and easy time!
As mentioned above, there'll be a free and easy time after 2.45PM. So just bring whatever you wanna do during that time! Bring your kite, volleyball, frisbee etc yeah!

Attire:
Beach wear, tshirt and shorts
**please don't wear white for both male and female!
Slippers

Hello guys!
I am here to blog after oh so long :D

How did you guys feel about the 21st annivesary?
Cause i felt really happy!
We're 21 now! A big milestone for all of us!
As we are 21 now, we know that greater challenges will await us.

Faith:
Do you still have faith in God? Of course you do!
Faith is the susbstance that God looks for.
Its the evidence that shows your growth and how much you trust him.
What is faith?
Let me show you.
You believe in Jesus when you have never seen him.
You tell him all of your troubles, and trust that he will take care of it.
You give him your life, for him to change you.
If i were to tell you to do these 3 things today, to a friend, would you do it?
It will sound a little crazy right?
But why do we still do these 3 things for Jesus?
Because of faith.
A man of great faith can walk on water.
So lets all try to achieve walking on water :D

Hope:
It gives us life.
Hope is the fuel that drives us forward.
Hoping for the best for our church through this crisis.
Hoping that every day, would be a greater day.
Hope, is a vision.
What if you do not have hope?
Then i can tell you that that near impossible.
Why? Because God is hope.
When you lose hope, he place hope in you.
If God is hope, then as his people, we are the 'hopers'.
The people who carry his hope.

Love:
Our theme this year, is all about love.
City Harvest is a 110% loving church.
What more prove can you get than the very scene at our 21st annivesary.
When Pastor Kong came up on stage. The overwhelming love can be felt so tremendously.
Pastor was so touched!
In such a crisis now, instead of having lesser people coming for services, more people came.
If you noticed, after the crisis emerged, our church has been jam packed from front to back.
Because we come to church to love God.
And we love our Pastor Kong so much!
The cross talks about love God wholeheartedly and love people fervently.
Love is what keeps the church together in unity.
Love is what keeps people together.
Love is what makes people stay.
God is love.
God is not grudge, he is not hate and he is definitely not unforgiveness.
So do we want to be like God?
Yes we do!
Jesus is our role model!
We follow in his footsteps everyday.
If love is our theme this year, lets continue to practice it.
Lets not all be complacent.
One last thing i want to say is.

Hey guys!

It's announcement time!

1. Service and CGM is on this week!
So do come prepared with an open heart and receive as much as you can yeah!
And do note that this week for CGM, instead of our normal CGM, we'll be having a prayer meeting. So do pray and charged up and come ready to pray up a storm and stand in the gap for the church, for the CG.

2. Festival of Praise (FOP) & 21st anniversary
Guys, do take note that FOP & church's 21st anniversary will be on the same weekend.
Do take note of the following timings and let your respective connect group leaders know which day and session are you attending yeah. Thanks a lot!

3. Continue to pray for Pastor Kong, Tan, Sun and the leadership
Do continue to keep them in prayers.

I really really thank God for all these leaders that He've placed in my life because they've lay down their lives so that the rest that are coming can benefit.
I believe that everyone of us who're in the cg can come and freely worship in the presence of God is because Pastor and the pioneers have laid down their lives 21years back so that each and everyone of us have the chance to come and know God even more personally.

So let's not and never forget how much they have done and sacrificed for the church and maybe we may not be able to help much but I believe that the most we can do is to really pray and keep on praying for them.

4. Read your bible, do your quiet time, study hard!
Read your bible everyday to feed your soul, to renew your mind.
Do your quiet time to spend time in the presence of God.
Study hard to glorify His name!

I am here to talk about what i caught from our fav pastor kong last sat!!!
Pastor talk about 4 types of love.

1.storge(love of the family)
It is a really important to have storge. It keep us with a family close and stay together no matter what happen. It is same to our physical family and ALSO our spiritual family!! In good time, we laugh together, have fun together but lets us also have storge love, lets keep going even when bad times come. That's what family do!:D

P.S. I LOVE YOU CITY HARVEST IN BAD OR GOOD TIMES!! :D

2.Ero(love of passion) erm...nothing much to say about this..skip!!

3.phileo(love of friendship)
This is a very powerful love!!In fact, in the bible, because jonathan love(phileo) david so much, he help david to escape from saul even if he risk his life!! The bible say "he(jonathan) loved him(david) as himself". let's us have phileo love for all our friends!! Cheers for friendship! :D

4.Agape(love of total commitment)
This is the greatest love of all! It is a love that God have for us. It is so great that He is willing to die on the cross 2000 years ago for us!! That day, while i am worshipping God, He told me, even if i hate myself, He still love me. This is how great the love of God is. sacrificial, faithful and real.

Hello guys!

Announcements of the week:

1. Dr AR Bernard will be preaching this weekend!
So do invite your friends to join us for service this week yeah!! :D

2. Coming Sunday, we'll be having a special sports CG!
Please take note that it's still CG day so don't arrange other plans during CG time yeah!

And after that we'll all go down to Bugis together to get the awesome KOI! In case you don't know what is KOI, it's a bubble tea which is different from those that you get in SweetTalk etc. It's just very awesome! You gotta try it! ;)

3. New bible study classes are commencing next week.
Those that are doing VL and above, classes will be held at Riverwalk on Wed at 7.30pm.
Those that need to go for CIC, GS and CL, there're classes available after service.

For more information on new bible study classes, do log on to our church website at http://chc.org.sg to check out!

So far we've got Asher, Christina and Dylan going for FT1 and myself going for Going on to perfection. Do make an effort to keep your Wed nights free and go for bible study classes. Because I can really testify that it helps you to love the word of God more.

4. It's July already, so it means that half of 2010 have passed.
Jia you in your studies and work even harder yeah!

5. Remember to read your bible and do your quiet time!
Let's be faithful in the little things like seeking God and studying His word!

6. Continue to keep Pastor Kong, Tan, Sun and the church in prayer!
Let's keep our wonderful leaders in prayers yeah!

"Cards-ful" Weekend

Last weekend was no ordinary weekend for W459! In addition to the amazing word shared by Pastor Phil, it was a celebratory weekend for us! - 3 precious birthdays + 1 home coming!

Moral of the weekend story: 4 cards to write on is bu jian dan (i.e. not easy)!

Only regret of the weekend: We didn't take photos of the Bday Girls & Boy + the homecoming boy!!! (Grrrrrr! I will make sure it never happens again! Nevertheless, we managed to snap a shot of every card! Heee....)

#1: We celebrated Meizhen's birthday!!!

Yes, young as she may be, she is not "1"! Haha. Meizhen spent her FIRST birthday with W459 and we all know it is only the first of her many birthdays! This precious chirpy girl of ours turned 12 on 26 May 2010! Talking about youth! Whoooosh! Dearest Meizhen, Happy 12th Birthday and may all your wishes come true! Do well in your studies and shine like stars! We are praying that you will grow more and more in the Lord and get to know our precious Jesus more! :)

#2: We celebrated Elin's Birthday!!!

A hot pink card for one of the hottest girl in W459! *Whistles!* Dearest Elin, like what your card says, you are the most fabulous, great, super and cool girl in our eyes! :) Have the loveliest birthday and new year ever and may the good Lord bless you so much in this new phase of your life. Jesus loves you and W459 loves you too!

#3: We celebrated the man - Joel's Birthday!!!

Joel's card was one of the biggest in the history of W459! Needless to say, VERY NICE RITE?! And and Joel's birthday falls on the same day as Elin! Whoots! We've a pair of twins (not in age though)! Dearest Joel, thank you so much for your faithfulness in being around for the CG all these years. Although many of us are unable to make it on Sunday to pass you the card, you are always on our mind! :) We pray that this year will be a year of breakthroughs for you and may all the desires of your heart come to pass! See ya soon once NDP ends!

#4: Last but not least, the home coming champion whom we celebrated his return is none other than...CHEEHONG!!!

Cheehong! WELCOME HOME!!! We are really proud of your return and we want to let you know that though you were away for a few months, we have never forgotten about you! We love you alot alot alot alot alot alot! Now that you are back, please stay back and fellowship more with us!!! ;p Looking forward to growing more more more and more with you in the Lord!!!

Wheeee! I don't know about you, but I miss CGM and it's really weird to be free on Sundays!

Do invite your daddy to join us this weekend! Let's really take this chance to thank our daddy for working so hard everyday to provide for us yeah! (:

Pastor Phil preached a really awesome message last weekend and let's continue to pray for our pastors. (I came up with that! haha)

Warning: This is going to be a very random entry! ^_^

I am not sure how many of you remember but I shared with you guys that “10” is the number of perfection and that I’m very excited for this year – 2010. Before I even know it, it’s June! We are at the half mark of the year and as I look back, I am just very thankful for all of you who have played a precious part in my life. Hence, I have decided to do an appreciation entry for all of you! Look out for your name and know that Rae really loves you!

Dear Jasmin, thank you for rising up so much this year. If there is one word that I can use to describe you this year, it is “hunger”! I am very encouraged whenever I see how much you want to train up disciples together with me and all the “liang teh” and sweet gestures from you have really motivated me to do even more. Thank you for overcoming all odds and embrace the philosophy of love together with me!

Dear Joseph, thank you for being such a great brother in the CG! Your level of patience is invincible! I have never seen anyone as “harmless” and as pure as you. You are really a blessing! I tried to recall the Gouwei who first came to W362 and I just cannot stop smiling. You have grown so much all these years but the only thing that remains unchanged is your purest love and concern to the people around you. Thank you for being who you are!

Dear Bryan and Ian, welcome into this awesome family! I hope you guys are enjoying the CG and I am excited to see you both progress in the Kingdom of God. Bryan, thank you for rising up to the challenge of the “200 word”! Haha. You are just so amazing and I am so looking forward to you cooking for the CG! *Hint Hint* Ian, thank you for sacrificing your archery sessions for the CG. We are so privileged that you always find time to hang out with us. Looking forward to the many years ahead with you guys!

Dear Dylan, thank you for being the man! Your ever readiness to say yes amazes me! I’m so thankful for your transfer to W459 from CC and you have really been standing in the gap for the CG this year. The recent Asia Conference is really one of the many incidents where I see your unwavering faithfulness. Thank you for trusting in me and never questioning why I ask you to do everything. Haha. You are such a great servant!

Dear Potato Buddies – Dylan, Samuel and Asher, you guys are the most rocking cool potatoes ever! Thank you for adding so much life to the CG with the potatoes talks. Samuel, thank you for your enthusiasm in everything that you do (from serving to waving to beat boxing to laughing…). I am really proud of all the decisions you have made this year, especially to serve in Children’s Church when you’re so scared of them! Asher, thank you for always seeking to be the salt and light in your school. I know it may be tough but you are doing well! Teacher Asher, I believe God has an awesome plan for you and will use you to impact the lives of the children in CC! Potato Power!

Dear Christina and Eva, Juying FTW! Thank you for being the loveliest pair of girls in my life. Whenever I see you girls coming for service in your NPCC shirts, I will just thank God for giving me such faithful girls who are willing to sacrifice rest just to serve Him. Thank you for always supporting whatever I want to do for the CG and I love your “just do it” attitude. You both have been such an encouragement to me. Thank you!

Dear Zhanyan, thank you for being the every faithful friend who will always join the CG in our special events. Your presence is so appreciated and come more often!

Dear Desiree and Eliana, congratulations on your baptism (haha…kinda belated to be typing this)! Firstly, dearest Desiree, thank you for bringing Kit to church! Because of your love for her, we now have Eliana. Secondly, dearest Eliana, thank you for bringing Qianling to church! Because of your love for us, she is now receiving BS from Jasmin and growing in the Lord! You two are really giants trapped in a small body and I love your “on-ness”! You gals are very good examples of young ones that do not despise your own youth. I thank God that you both are saved young because I know the journey ahead for you gals will only get more exciting. Thank you for your ah lian stares too that can help me “tame” the older ones. ^_^

Dear Isaac, thank you for coming back from the US! Haha. Dear Pinde and Ang, thank you for giving me the chance to be your CGL! Haha. I always believed that you both have a choice and you chose to remain in W459. It is my greatest honour to have you in the CG. Thank you for serving tirelessly in Usher/Choir and being the CG’s guitarists! I know I can always count on you both to pull down the presence of God. Thank you also for being the sparks of the CG that make my weekly games times so unmanageable and chaotic! Haha. But well, that’s what the CG is all about – having fun together!

Dear Qianling, thank you for being so faithful. You may be our youngest family member but we love you! J Thank you for wanting to know the CG and know God more. I am so happy that you are now attending Bible Study sessions and you received the gift of speaking in tongues! Wow! Hey guys! I've been reading my present -Beauty for Ashes by Joyce Meyer from you guys! And I'm tremendously blessed!

She wrote a chapter title Free to Rejoice with Others and I feel that I should share with you guys.

'God put something in me for you, but He also put something in you for me, which really removes our need to be jealous of each other. I believe that one of the major causes of jealousy is insecurity, which is a lack of knowledge of what it means to be in Christ.'

Each and everyone is made unique. Some has a certain gift and the other don't. But precisely we're made this way, it is to edify one another and function as a body of Christ.

In 1 Corinthians 12:27-31, Paul said that we're one:

¹² For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. ¹³ For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. ¹⁴ For in fact the body is not one member but many.

¹⁵ If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁶ And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁷ If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? ¹⁸ But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. ¹⁹ And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

²⁰ But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. ²¹ And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” ²² No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. ²³ And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,

²⁴ but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it,

Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? ³⁰ Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? ³¹ But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Note those verses that are in bold.
Some of you can the ears of the body, while some can be the hands, the others can be the eyes etc. But when come together, we're one body.
We're all different but same at the same time.

Each and everyone of us are created to edify and help each other. Paul says that 'but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.'

As we come together, united, we are like an army for God. A mighty army. To fight for God.

So the eyes are to help the body to see, the hands are to pick up weapons, the legs are to charge, the brain is to send signals and commands to the hands and to the legs.

Can you imagine one day the eye decided not to see, then how does the body know that the enemies are coming?

Can you imagine one day if the hands decided not to pick up weapons, then how does the body fight the enemies?

'When we are trying to be something God never intended for us to be, it prevents us from fulfilling our God-given function in the body of Christ.'

We, as children of God should stand together on the same frontier, to be united as one.
We're all made diverse to be united.

So W459, from today onwards, let's be a united cell group. A household that's divided cannot stand. Let's not dilute our DNA and make a choice to be one.

We're diverse but united!

Mourning into shouting

Hey guys!

I'm here to share with you some of my thoughts as I was reading Beauty for Ashes by Joyce Meyer. (It's a gift from the cg for my birthday! thanks!)

This book is about receiving emotional healing.

I was reading it and Joyce Meyer shared about how she was being abused when she was young and how it left her emotionally shut down. And as years go by she slowly started to learn how to get out of it on her own (with the help of the Lord) and with the help of her husband and others. Praise the Lord for that! Because right now she is really one woman of God who is transforming many many lives. Her destiny in the Lord is so great!

This once again confirms that the calling of the Lord is irrevocable.

What God has meant for good, no one and nothing can break or destroy it.
Even though you're crushed, God will still be able to restore you back just like how He did for Joyce Meyer. No matter how damaged you are, He still have the ability to bring you back to the path that was originally made for you. Because your destiny in Him is gonna be so great, it scares the devil. The devil will think of ways and methods to crush you to make you not able to walk again.

Pastor Zhuang once shared during service after baby Tyler was healed. Pastor Kong told him that the devil wanted to attack Tyler at such a tender age, can you imagine how great his destiny is in the Lord?

My dearest friends, whatever you are going through now, preserve! Because it's a stage whereby you'll be molded and will be ready for something that's greater that's in line for you.

Paul says in Romans 8:18:
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

The glory that is gonna be revealed in us is not worthy to be compared with our present sufferings.

Thank God that He is faithful!

Hi guys!

I just wanna share with you my thoughts(:

I have been reading 1 Samuel & 2 Samuel, it's about King David. And I'm truly blessed.
After reading those 2 books, I want to run after God everyday and be a person that's after God's own heart. When you're after God's heart, everything else will fall in place without you having to worry and stuff.

I really really encourage you guys to go and read the bible! Because it's the word of God and you'll really get to know Him better. Revelations are what that keeps you going on in this walk. So let's not be dried up and always be 'watered' by the word of God yeah!

I made this prayer to God end of last year and earlier on in Jan that I want to be more dependent on God.

My January hasn't been really really awesome but I really thank God for the rough patches that I've been through in January. Because I've learnt step by step how to rely on God to go through difficult situations. And to deal with emotions, thoughts that has been negative for the longest of time in my mind. I've also learnt how to strengthen myself in the Lord when I feel tired rushing all the projects. And I believe God is also molding me through all the heartaches and pains that I've been going through. God is good! His ways are always higher than ours.

In just one month, I've experience my so many things and I consider it a breakthrough. But I'm not satisfied. I'm gonna ask God for more.

W459, let's be a man/woman/boy/girl after God's own heart! Let's also continue to believe and cling on to God for our breakthroughs this year! I really really believe that 2010 is gonna be a great year!

However your January has been, be it good or bad, let's put it behind and look forward to strive to do better ya! If you've committed some wrongdoings, learn from it! If you've done something awesome, let's strive to keep it up or even do better than that!

(Will be held at RW, starting 7.30pm)

- 6th Feb: KEL-Zone launch of events!! :D

- 12th Feb: Chinese New Year Service!! :D

(it will be on a FRIDAY, the timing is 5pm to 7pm at the Singapore Expo hall 1. there will be no services on Saturday for this Chinese new year week. Alternatively, if you can't make it for the 5pm service, you can attend the 7.30pm one @ Expo hall 1)

Hello this is Jasmin and Dylan here.

HAHA, lazy to put all the photos on the blog.. so if you want to see more, please go to facebook to see :D The first cell group meeting was really good! the praise and worship was just awesome, and the word by Rae was really a good word in season. Rae shared about EXPECTING THE BEST IN OUR LIFE! She shared the 3 reasons WHY we should expect the best,
1) Expecting the best honors god!
2) Expecting the best increases your ability!
3) Expecting the best encourages others!
Rae also taught us HOW to start the expect the best in our life,
1) We must start our day with faith!
What we say first in the morning will affect our entire day, so let's start our day by saying that 'Today is going to be a good day'.
2) We must look for the positive in every situation!
We must not always focus on the negative things in our life, there is always a positive area in every problem.
3) Give your worries to god!
Worries come when you assume responsibility that god never intended for you to have.
4) Stop speaking negatively!
Our tongue is a very strong weapon, so what we say to others will have a great impact on their lifes, so we must say good things to others and not the bad things.
5) Remember your future is blessed!
We must always remember that our future is blessed because god has a great plan for everyone!

Hi Hi All! As you know, Chris and I went for a long “dangerous” camp last week and we both almost fall down (as shared in CG meeting) several times during the hiking part! Haha. During this time of almost falling and falling many times, I got a revelation! Yeah, God never wastes any experience in our lives!

Bible heroes like Moses and our most precious Jesus were always seen in the bible, climbing up the mountain to pray. Last week, I managed to get my chance to climb the mountain as well! Relationship with God is like hiking! The higher you climb up the mountain, the clearer the vision you can see. Many of God’s promises for us are waiting for us at the peak of the mountain but hiking up the mountain is not an easy journey. There will be times when you fall and almost fall but if you stay strong in your faith, God will pull you up and prevent you from falling. When God pulls you up and you see your fellow hiking friend wanting to give up, don’t hurry to get to the summit yourself! Slow down and help them, and we can all reach the summit together! It all boils down to loving people fervently! (Yeah!)

During this hike, there are many times when I nearly fall down. When that happens, hehe…I blame it on the rocks and roots! But actually, if there are no rocks and roots, the whole mountain will be so smooth and SLIPPERY! Without them, I cannot even climb in the first place. I will have nothing to support me! Isn’t this same to our daily lives? Sometimes, we’ll blame situations and people that cause us to fall but if we think harder, the same situations and people are the very things that sharpen our character and make us better people! So I want to encourage all of you that it is normal for us to have challenges in our lives and we just need to cling on to our faith!!! Keep moving and we’ll see each other at the peak one day! :D

I'm blogging to remind you guys to EXPECT THE BEST! :) Yepz ~ Like what we learned in CG last Sunday, let's be so positively geared towards this new year! I just realized today that Week 3 of January is already coming to an end and we are approaching Week 4 really soon! Before you know it, it's CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

But of course, not that you will definitely do a forfeit if you attend a make up cgm. hahaha.

HELLO W459! :D

Today Pastor Kong preached a super duper good message and I hope you guys have caught something! Because I did!
Pray and have faith to receive it! Let's all move into the fourth dimension living. Thinking, dream & visualize, have faith and keep confessing till it come to past! I personally am gonna get a counter and start confessing the promises of God like a thousand times. I am gonna speak positive and only positive things into my life!

AND THE VERY SUPER AWESOME NEWS CAME. LIKE FINALLY...

WE GOT OUR LAND!

I am so so so excited for our new building in the CENTRAL *SCREAMS!* Because then the easterners namely Rae & myself don't have to travel so far. HAHAHA! Okay not the main point but the main point is WE'RE GONNA BUILD GOD A WONDERFUL HOUSE! How awesome is it?

If God can give us a piece of land to build a hall that can sit 12,000 then NOTHING is impossible for Him! My God is greater than ALL the problems here on earth. But let's continue to pray for the building because when we serve a big God that's why we do things big as well! There're gonna be lots of negative comments about this project but we know and we know in our hearts that we're building it for God! So pray pray pray!

Alright, new building aside, I want to welcome 8 new friends that have joined us recently.
They are non other than AMELIA, MEI QI, MEI ZHEN, ELIN, EVEI, RUI HUAN, YAN JUN & YAN YU!

Revelation on Kinetic Particle Theory

In Chemistry, we learned about this term called “Kinetic Particle Theory” and the more I study it, I realized that it is so similar to our relationship with God. I remember that when I first came to church, my relationship with God is in a “gaseous state” whereby the particles move about randomly and freely. I didn’t know God very well at that time and there was no commitment to Him. I can easily decide on whether to go to church or don’t go to church, to pray or not to pray. Just like the particles in the gaseous state, I find it so hard to sit still.

As I begin to attend service and CG more regularly, I start to want to know God more. When I made the decision to move forward in my walk with God, I gradually transformed into the “liquid state”. My relationship with God got closer as compared to the “gaseous state”. Although the particles in a liquid is closer to one another, they can still slide over one another freely. My relationship with God might have gotten closer but it wasn’t that stable yet.

With time and greater commitment, I am slowly entering the “solid state” of my relationship with God. Over time, my relationship with God has grown stronger and it has developed a stronger attractive force. Like the particles in a solid, I find myself packed very closely to God. Although there will be times when these particles will vibrate under pressure and heat (i.e. me doubting God and losing faith in Him), they will still stay firm at that original position. Personally, when God sends me a test, I have to make the decision if I will press in and stand firm at my fixed position or will I let go, give up and melt like liquid.

Friends, relationship with God takes time and it will build up day by day. I am impacted by this revelation and I hope you find it useful too. Let’s choose to be as solid as we can in the Kingdom of God ok?

I can't believe I'm blogging again! Haha. I think it's time I shut down my blog just to commit to W459's SOS blog. ;p

This week's service was great! *VISION!* Just like what I've been sharing with you guys since December, having a vision is really important! I must admit that I've never been more urgent about penning down my visions than 2010! I love what Pst Tan said today during service that we need to have a big vision to be a big man! Goal setting for 2010 was really interesting. The more I fill up my 2010 Goals Card, the bigger and wilder I see myself progressing in the many things that could happen this year. It's gonna rock my world! Haha...2010 Rock My World!

Okie..so guys, time to spend time to think and pen down your vision for this year! It's already Week 2 of 2010!!! Do it NOW!!!

Alright ~ post service, we went for an amazing leh pak session at the "long time no go" Esplanade! Agenda: LEHHHHHH PAKKKKKKK! Haha. I don't know what the rest did but I gave BS (it's a good place to have BS! Super Quiet...), attended BS (haha...), played Monopoly Deal (the coolest and most addictive game in town) and leh pak! Hahaha. Oh no...I'm in love with this word! Maybe we should have a "once a month leh pak Saturday" in 2010! Wheee!*

Wow! After an exciting Appreciation Post by Jasmin and awesome post by Samuel, it's now my turn! :) Pst. once shared with the leaders that "10" is the number of perfection and 2010 will be the best year yet and I strongly believe in that! I know this is the year where students will excel and rise up to a whole new level in their understanding of the things of God.

4 January was the first day of school for all our lovely Secondary and Primary school (i.e. Meizhen!) members and I wanna give a big shout out to all of you: STUDY HARD!!! 2010 will be the best year yet! Boys, Asher already gave the warning to have your hair cut and Shawn led by example and cut his hair before school starts! So...before you get caught like Samuel, please...*ahem*...be wise! Asher, Christina, Dylan, Eva, Samuel, Shawn, MeiZhen, MeiQi, Elin, Xiaomeng, Zhangchi and Zhicheng - please be the salt and light of your school and make this year a memorable year! Denise, Kit, Pamela, Lynnette, Evei, it's a new school and that means new chances to know new people and do new things! So grab every chance to shine for God ok?

I know Joseph and Cheehong's hearts are pounding madly because 11 January is the results release for O Levels!!! *Screamz* Hey Guys, I know you guys will do well...so just go back to school in faith yeah? Remember to update us!!!

And finally, not forgetting the tertiary elderlies...hahaha...No lah!!! J/K...

Hey guys!

Here's a very awesome picture of a few of us that went for thanksgiving service!
For those who never experienced Sun personally, I believed that you guys are really blessed right? I am very very blessed! And we're gonna have our appreciation cg on the 31 Dec at Dylan's place.

Let me share my thoughts with you first (:

I caught something during the service. The whole service, testimonies after testimonies, awards after awards, it all boils down to the word love. And I really caught that. CHC is definitely birthed forth because of the love for people Sun and Pastor Kong has.

W459 as well, was birthed forth, and eventually able to multiplied because of the love for people.

Loving God wholeheartedly, loving people fervently.

Let's all pray for God's love to be able to overflow in our life. Which will result in us being able to give so freely to others the love that God has given to us. We cannot give what we've not received.

The first Christmas service is on Thurs which isn't very very far away.

By faith, I know we all can do it to hit 40 friends this Christmas. Let's go all out and really love the people into the kingdom of God yeah!

Haha...This blog is really one of the most happening man! Thank you W459 for creating so much buzz in both our CG's blog and U Tribe's blog! You guys make things happen man! Anyway, I was reading through both U Tribe and our own blog and I must say that you guys are bloggy! I can feel and see your presence everywhere. *Ahem* Very well represented! ;p

Anyway, I'm on my 12th day fast today. 20 more days to go! Guys, I must really let you know that as I fast, I just know that something awesome is breaking through in the spirit realm and for W459. Let's keep our spiritual health in tact so that when the breakthrough comes, we can ALL progress forward yeah?

Meanwhile, U Tribe is so so coming! Hahaha. I cannot wait! You know what? I actually skipped the StanChart Marathon for U Tribe! I told my colleagues while they are running their marathon, I'll be running around Pulau Ubin. WoOhOo! Sunday's gonna be a good day!
