Sunday, January 24, 2010 Hi Hi All! As you know, Chris and I went for a long “dangerous” camp last week and we both almost fall down (as shared in CG meeting) several times during the hiking part! Haha. During this time of almost falling and falling many times, I got a revelation! Yeah, God never wastes any experience in our lives! Bible heroes like Moses and our most precious Jesus were always seen in the bible, climbing up the mountain to pray. Last week, I managed to get my chance to climb the mountain as well! Relationship with God is like hiking! The higher you climb up the mountain, the clearer the vision you can see. Many of God’s promises for us are waiting for us at the peak of the mountain but hiking up the mountain is not an easy journey. There will be times when you fall and almost fall but if you stay strong in your faith, God will pull you up and prevent you from falling. When God pulls you up and you see your fellow hiking friend wanting to give up, don’t hurry to get to the summit yourself! Slow down and help them, and we can all reach the summit together! It all boils down to loving people fervently! (Yeah!) During this hike, there are many times when I nearly fall down. When that happens, hehe…I blame it on the rocks and roots! But actually, if there are no rocks and roots, the whole mountain will be so smooth and SLIPPERY! Without them, I cannot even climb in the first place. I will have nothing to support me! Isn’t this same to our daily lives? Sometimes, we’ll blame situations and people that cause us to fall but if we think harder, the same situations and people are the very things that sharpen our character and make us better people! So I want to encourage all of you that it is normal for us to have challenges in our lives and we just need to cling on to our faith!!!
