Sunday, January 31, 2010 Hello again! :D Dibo here.. here too tell you about the announcements and events of FEBRUARY! Here are some events on the month of February: - 3rd Feb: Commencement of weekday BS classes (Will be held at RW, starting 7.30pm) - 6th Feb: KEL-Zone launch of events!! :D (Invite your friends that week to get to know what are the events we've got that's coming our way!)- 12th Feb: Chinese New Year Service!! :D (it will be on a FRIDAY, the timing is 5pm to 7pm at the Singapore Expo hall 1. there will be no services on Saturday for this Chinese new year week. Alternatively, if you can't make it for the 5pm service, you can attend the 7.30pm one @ Expo hall 1)(please try your best to invite your friends for this service to celebrate the Chinese new year!) - 20th Feb: Yu Sheng Party!! :D (this party is for service one members only, that means it's us, it will be held after service that day)- 21st Feb: Cell Group Steamboat!! :D (it will be on a SUNDAY, so there will be no cell group meeting, but you are strongly encouraged to turn up for the steamboat as it is our CNY reunion lunch as W459!)(it will be held at bugis, and if you are coming, please bring $20) - 22th Feb: Weekly Prayer Meeting Starts!! :D (please inform Asher and Isaac if you will be able to make it for the prayer meeting and which days will you be going for. Everyone is encouraged to go for AT LEAST one pm. Let's really come and pray up a storm this year!)Take note of the timings & places: Morning PMs @ JW & HOG, 7am - 8am Evening PMs @ JW & RW, 6pm - 7pm - 27th Feb: Water Baptism!! :D (For those who have yet to get baptised! This is your turn! Water baptism is really very important in the Christian walk. To know why and more information, do ask your leaders about it.) 1) Now for the announcements, firstly the dialect church is recruiting people to join their ministry, if you can speak any dialect or even chinese, you can join this ministry and help the senior people in their walk with god! :D 2) Secondly, go and create an account at the CHC donation portal if you have not done so. Go to http://chc.org.sg/receipts to sign up so that we all can make life easier for Rae when Arise & Build comes! You can go to the portal and update your particulars and dl donation receipts. 3) Lastly, the bible reading list has already been given out, follow the list and finish reading from Gen 1 to Deut 6 by FIRST WEEK OF MARCH. (For those people who do not have the list, please collect it from Asher) (Those that are done please hand it in to Asher or Isaac. First CGM of 2010 Hello this is Jasmin and Dylan here. I'm teaching him how to post up pictures!          HAHA, lazy to put all the photos on the blog.. so if you want to see more, please go to facebook to see :D The first cell group meeting was really good! the praise and worship was just awesome, and the word by Rae was really a good word in season. Rae shared about EXPECTING THE BEST IN OUR LIFE! She shared the 3 reasons WHY we should expect the best, 1) Expecting the best honors god! 2) Expecting the best increases your ability! 3) Expecting the best encourages others! Rae also taught us HOW to start the expect the best in our life, 1) We must start our day with faith! What we say first in the morning will affect our entire day, so let's start our day by saying that 'Today is going to be a good day'. 2) We must look for the positive in every situation! We must not always focus on the negative things in our life, there is always a positive area in every problem. 3) Give your worries to god! Worries come when you assume responsibility that god never intended for you to have. 4) Stop speaking negatively! Our tongue is a very strong weapon, so what we say to others will have a great impact on their lifes, so we must say good things to others and not the bad things. 5) Remember your future is blessed! We must always remember that our future is blessed because god has a great plan for everyone! I'm here to post about the building fund ... Since we have found a new land we should also give our building fund ... Since last year,i have been praying to god to give me a new VISION for a new year ... ever since i knew that we have found a NEW LAND ! woooo!!! i have been praying to god to give me a new vision on how much he wants me to give him ... i remember that last saturday, Rae said that she had given Jieying her love offering for the pastors ... and she talked to god and god told her to give the twice the amount she had given to Jieying ... and she really gave Jieying twice the amount ... i BELIEVE that if god ask us to give him that amount of money and we give him that amount he will bless us with a plan for our lifes ... So, even a small and young person like me can have a vision on how much i want to give to god ... i BELIEVE that you guys can give even better !!! and do pray to god for the amount he want's you to give him ... We must all be faithful in the little things that have been given to us and this is a platform to show your faithfulness in the little things! *I/Cs are allowed to delegate responsibilities.* 1. Treasurer Ministry I/C: Dylan Eva ANNOUNCEMENT: As of February 2010, please pay $5 for cg fund except for Daniel, he'll pay $50 every month. So everyone say, 'Thank you Daniel!' because of him, we'll have better and nicer presents! Haha! To collect cg fund FAITHFULLY from the cg. And to make things easier, let's all be auto a bit and pay up our cg fund so that they won't have to chase us for it yeah! Those who have difficulty giving cg fund please let Rae know. Thanks! 2. Service & CG attendance I/C: Joseph Christina Kit To collect forecast & attendance every week. 3. Prayer meeting & Bible reading I/C: Isaac Asher To collect bible reading charts from everyone every month, update which verses and books to read for that month on the cg's blog and also update Rae on ALL the prayer meetings' attendance. 4. Newcomers Ministry I/C: Daniel Christina Joseph To take charge of newcomers slip, be warm and welcome the new friends. Please make sure you get ALL the new friends contacts. And please start designing the newcomers slip! 5. Birthday Committee

As you know, Chris and I went for a long “dangerous” camp last week and we both almost fall down (as shared in CG meeting) several times during the hiking part! Haha. During this time of almost falling and falling many times, I got a revelation! Yeah, God never wastes any experience in our lives! Bible heroes like Moses and our most precious Jesus were always seen in the bible, climbing up the mountain to pray. Last week, I managed to get my chance to climb the mountain as well! Relationship with God is like hiking! The higher you climb up the mountain, the clearer the vision you can see. Many of God’s promises for us are waiting for us at the peak of the mountain but hiking up the mountain is not an easy journey. There will be times when you fall and almost fall but if you stay strong in your faith, God will pull you up and prevent you from falling. When God pulls you up and you see your fellow hiking friend wanting to give up, don’t hurry to get to the summit yourself! Slow down and help them, and we can all reach the summit together! It all boils down to loving people fervently! (Yeah!) During this hike, there are many times when I nearly fall down. When that happens, hehe…I blame it on the rocks and roots! But actually, if there are no rocks and roots, the whole mountain will be so smooth and SLIPPERY! Without them, I cannot even climb in the first place. I will have nothing to support me! Isn’t this same to our daily lives? Sometimes, we’ll blame situations and people that cause us to fall but if we think harder, the same situations and people are the very things that sharpen our character and make us better people! So I want to encourage all of you that it is normal for us to have challenges in our lives and we just need to cling on to our faith!!! I just realized today that Week 3 of January is already coming to an end and we are approaching Week 4 really soon! Before you know it, it's CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! My super chimology question to all of you, "How has 2010 been?" =) You can tag your answer to this question on the tag board!!! I'm sure we'll spur off a great discussion. Whatever your tag wil be, I am sure we are still in time to change gear and steer the steering wheel into the correct direction. Pray and have faith to receive it! Let's all move into the fourth dimension living. Thinking, dream & visualize, have faith and keep confessing till it come to past! I personally am gonna get a counter and start confessing the promises of God like a thousand times. I am gonna speak positive and only positive things into my life! AND THE VERY SUPER AWESOME NEWS CAME. LIKE FINALLY... WE GOT OUR LAND! I am so so so excited for our new building in the CENTRAL *SCREAMS!* Because then the easterners namely Rae & myself don't have to travel so far. HAHAHA! Okay not the main point but the main point is WE'RE GONNA BUILD GOD A WONDERFUL HOUSE! How awesome is it? If God can give us a piece of land to build a hall that can sit 12,000 then NOTHING is impossible for Him! My God is greater than ALL the problems here on earth. But let's continue to pray for the building because when we serve a big God that's why we do things big as well! There're gonna be lots of negative comments about this project but we know and we know in our hearts that we're building it for God! So pray pray pray! Alright, new building aside, I want to welcome 8 new friends that have joined us recently. They are non other than AMELIA, MEI QI, MEI ZHEN, ELIN, EVEI, RUI HUAN, YAN JUN & YAN YU! Welcome to W459! I am super super excited for it! :D:D With lots of love, Jasmin 1:26 AM Sunday, January 10, 2010 In Chemistry, we learned about this term called “Kinetic Particle Theory” and the more I study it, I realized that it is so similar to our relationship with God. I remember that when I first came to church, my relationship with God is in a “gaseous state” whereby the particles move about randomly and freely. I didn’t know God very well at that time and there was no commitment to Him. I can easily decide on whether to go to church or don’t go to church, to pray or not to pray. Just like the particles in the gaseous state, I find it so hard to sit still. As I begin to attend service and CG more regularly, I start to want to know God more. When I made the decision to move forward in my walk with God, I gradually transformed into the “liquid state”. My relationship with God got closer as compared to the “gaseous state”. Although the particles in a liquid is closer to one another, they can still slide over one another freely. My relationship with God might have gotten closer but it wasn’t that stable yet. With time and greater commitment, I am slowly entering the “solid state” of my relationship with God. Over time, my relationship with God has grown stronger and it has developed a stronger attractive force. Like the particles in a solid, I find myself packed very closely to God. Although there will be times when these particles will vibrate under pressure and heat (i.e. me doubting God and losing faith in Him), they will still stay firm at that original position. Personally, when God sends me a test, I have to make the decision if I will press in and stand firm at my fixed position or will I let go, give up and melt like liquid. Friends, relationship with God takes time and it will build up day by day. I am impacted by this revelation and I hope you find it useful too. Leh Pak @ Esplanade I can't believe I'm blogging again! Haha. I think it's time I shut down my blog just to commit to W459's SOS blog. ;p This week's service was great! *VISION!* Just like what I've been sharing with you guys since December, having a vision is really important! I must admit that I've never been more urgent about penning down my visions than 2010! I love what Pst Tan said today during service that we need to have a big vision to be a big man! Goal setting for 2010 was really interesting. The more I fill up my 2010 Goals Card, the bigger and wilder I see myself progressing in the many things that could happen this year. It's gonna rock my world! Haha...2010 Rock My World! Okie..so guys, time to spend time to think and pen down your vision for this year! It's already Week 2 of 2010!!! Do it NOW!!! Alright ~ post service, we went for an amazing leh pak session at the "long time no go" Esplanade! Agenda: LEHHHHHH PAKKKKKKK! Haha. I don't know what the rest did but I gave BS (it's a good place to have BS! Super Quiet...), attended BS (haha...), played Monopoly Deal (the coolest and most addictive game in town) and leh pak! Hahaha. Oh no...I'm in love with this word! Maybe we should have a "once a month leh pak Saturday" in 2010! Boys, Asher already gave the warning to have your hair cut and Shawn led by example and cut his hair before school starts! So...before you get caught like Samuel, please...*ahem*...be wise!
